Outdoors

On Monday Cara had a doctor's appointment and Deanna had the children for the day. They spent the day outdoors. Here Craig was jumping on the big trampoline in the back yard.

Paul found some friends! Froggie looks a little fed up with the noise. The frog has become Paul's new pet...taking place of the catfish he had in the aquarium in the house about a month ago.

Here Lydia is swinging Craig on the tree swing. She loves to help with Craig. Actually she loves to help with anything and is known as the "generous friend" since she likes to share everything she has with everyone.

Visiting Grandpa and Grandma

On Sunday 8/26 we went to Ohio to visit Grandpa & Grandma Tomlinson. Here Grandma is holding her new little grand baby. Ben just turned 4 months old!

Ben was studying each face as the children met him for their first time

Craig let out a big laugh when we found him climbing the stairs

Here's James' "photo grin". The kids enjoy playing in Grandpa's back porch.

Nursing Home

Lydia, James and Paul sang for the residents at Springview Nursing Home in Lebanon, KY after Deanna did a performance on the harp

Craig decided to join them on this song

Nashville Trip

Deanna and Cara went to Nashville, TN on Tuesday 8/21 for a songwriters workshop.
Here Deanna is with hit songwriters: Marty Dodson and Jason Blume

There were about 50 songwriters attending this excellent class.

After the class Deanna stopped in to say hi to Bradley Collins, her BMI writers representative.

Before heading back home Cara & Deanna stopped in at Cornelius Companies to talk to producer Ron Cornelius about her new CD.

Haircuts

While everyone was still visiting from Maryland Cara did haircuts. Here Craig was getting his much needed trim. Notice the lock of hair falling in the bottom left corner of the picture.

"Come on mom!"

Fun and Excitement With Cousins

On Tuesday morning Poppop had a T.I.A. (mini stroke). Cara, Aunt Tracy & Poppop spent the morning at the E.R. He was released and arrived back at our home in a stable condition. Since he was doing well we went on with our plans of taking the kids to the Explorium in Lexington.
They had a blast!

Ever felt claustrophobic?

Here the kids stopped for a picture in the Pedway after a great time at the museum.

Dancing with a bubble!!!

ATI Conference

Deanna and Mr. Gothard posed for a picture in his office

During the week Deanna helped with the Children's Institute during the day on Wed-Fri. Here she is with the other leaders on her team: Rebekah Jorgensen and Asher Carson. These children are only five of the fourteen that were in their care.

Line up for the "large group" session!

This was the grand finale. Over 400 young people singing with the orchestra

ATI Conference - first night

Here's the fabulous flag presentation at the annual ATI conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Every year it's such a sight to see this on the opening night of the four day conference

Brother Miles Seaborn leads the audience of around 3,000 in singing to the Lord

Bro. Miles, Deanna and Loren Elms talking backstage before her performance

Deanna played "He Leadeth Me" to open for the next speaker which happened to be David Barton

At the Park...

Deanna took the kids to Millennium Park in Danville while "babysitting". Here they all lined up for a special snapshot

Lydia creeps down the slide munching on French fries all the way

Wow! That was an interesting angle! Go Paul!

Peek-a-boo Craig!

Here they are right before leaving to go "cool down" at Baskin Robins. And then they come home with ice cream dripping off their cheeks and salty, greasy fingers...what happened to just going to the park? Maybe mommy would've gone if...

July - Paul's Birthday

Paul woke to lots of bright colors and a special breakfast waiting for him. Here he is sitting in front of his EIGHT balloons on his eighth birthday!

Paul's special cake was decorated with model airplanes. Paul has been collecting airplanes for a long time. He wants to be a pilot and since last year he's been on one private flight and four commercial flights. He STILL wants to be a pilot.

Opening presents...goody, goody! He did lots of special things on his day!

July - The Children's Museum

A teeth chattering experience! This was at the "Explorium" in Lexington, KY

Cara enjoyed the water here in the baby section. The water was so thin you would think you could get a paper cut by putting your finger through it.

Paul riding high...helmet and all!

James and Craig loved the museum!

Here James, Lydia and Craig are huddled in a crater on the moon. It was a great day!

July - Lydia's Birthday

On July 20th Lydia woke to the smell of fresh baked cake and fluffy pancakes. Here she is sitting in front of her SIX balloons getting ready for a big breakfast on her sixth birthday!

Enjoying a moment with daddy

Surprise!!! Now she's seen the cake!

James enjoys himself too on this BIG day!
